WTEM Inks Tony Kornheiser To New 2-Year Deal

RED ZEBRA BROADCASTING Sports WTEM-A (ESPN 980)/WASHINGTON has inked TONY KORNHEISER to a new two-year deal keeping the veteran host and ESPN "PARDON THE INTERRUPTION" co-host on the station. KORNHEISER has been on radio in WASHINGTON since 1992 and his show, in its local or national forms, has aired on WTEM for 16 of the 18 years.
EVP of Sales/Acting CEO RICK CARMEAN said, "TONY is a very important part of our franchise and having him in the fold makes our brand even stronger."
Dir./Programming CHUCK SAPIENZA said, "TONY's show is one of the most popular shows on the radio, not just in D.C. but nationwide. His fans will be happy to know that not only will his show remain the same, but TONY's program is streamed and available for download at ESPN980.com."
