CRUSADER BROADCASTING Urban AC WGIV/CHARLOTTE has elevated veteran air personality BJ MURPHY to PD. The station, whose current slogan is “Information, Inspiration and Old School R&B,” recently acquired an FM signal. 

MURPHY’s career path includes stops at WWDM in COLUMBIA, SC,  WQMG in GREENSBORO, NC, KPRS in KANSAS CITY and KRNB in DALLAS. MURPHY is expected to continue with his PM-drive shift. The promotion is effective immediately.
