A job is on the line at the syndicated Ace and TJ Morning Show. Stunt guy WHITE SHADOW has essentially bet his job that the CAROLINA PANTHERS win at least once in the first five games.
As the NFL enters week five, the PANTHERS are 0-4 and their next game is against the 3-1 CHICAGO BEARS. Two things in SHADOW's favor -- the game is in CAROLINA and the BEARS starting QB, JAY CUTLER, is out with a concussion.
"The future of my job will be determined at BANK OF AMERICA STADIUM Sunday,' SHADOW said. "Hopefully everything will turn out for the best and the PANTHERS can have their first win of the season and I'll be coming to work MONDAY with tales of their victory and not have to say any goodbyes."
Show co-host ACE asserted, "People ask will we really fire him? Let us stress -- we are not firing him; he will be quitting. We sent him home and told him to think about it before he made this bet. He wanted to go through with it and now we all find ourselves in this predicament."
"Yeah we will miss him," co-host TJ added. "Blah blah blah. Next!"
Shadow spoke with some PANTHERS players after practice WEDNESDAY. Defensive end GREG HARDY mentioned that they were both working to have a job MONDAY, while punt returner CAPTAIN MUNNERLYN is dedicating SUNDAY’s game to him.
The entire cast of the ACE & TJ Show will be joining WHITE SHADOW, along with listeners, on SUNDAY to watch the game together at WILD WING CAFÉ at ARYSLEY TOWNE CENTER.
