The GRAND OLE OPRY is teaming with NASHVILLE’s WOMEN ROCK FOR THE CURE and SUSAN G. KOMEN for the cure, in the fight against breast cancer on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 15th with its second annual “OPRY GOES PINK,” show, where the OPRY’s famous barn backdrop will be turned pink. Flipping the switch and doing the honors will be CURB RECORDS duo The JUDDS.
On hand as guest announcer for a portion of the special night will be GRETA VAN SUSTEREN from FOX NEWS. Actress KIMBERLY WILLIAMS-PAISLEY will also be a guest announcer and will introduce the SUSAN G. KOMEN for the cure “Survivor Of The Year,” from the NASHVILLE area. In addition to the JUDDS the show will feature JOHN ANDERSON, JOEY & RORY, MARTY STUART as well as special activities recognizing breast cancer survivors and the continuing fight against the disease.
In addition to the concert, the OPRY is extending their efforts against breast cancer to an online pink auction beginning TUESDAY, OCTOBER 12th with proceeds benefitting WOMEN ROCK FOR THE CURE and SUSAN G. KOMEN for the cure.
