SUN CITY LICENSES, LLC is selling Hurban KVIB (95.1 LATINO VIBE)/SUN CITY WEST (PHOENIX). AZ to LEE W. SHUBERT's ATMOR PROPERTIES INC. for $100 and assumption of debt. SUN CITY COMMUNICATIONS, the operator of KVIB, defaulted under a loan from CIT LENDING SERVICES CORP., with the current aggregate outstanding principal balances being $2.5 million under a revolving note and $11.7 million under a term note, plus interest; RBG PHOENIX LICENSES, LLC will program the station under an LMA.
In another deal filed with the FCC, FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY is selling FM translator W233BH/FORT WALTON BEACH, FL to OMNI BROADCASTING, LLC for an undisclosed price. The application designates OMNI Sports WZFN-A (1400 Z-FAN)/ORT WALTON BEACH as the translator's primary station.
TED TUCKER JR.'s SKYWEST MEDIA LLC is selling the construction permit for KCKO/RIO RICO, AZ to TED TUCKER's COCHISE MEDIA LICENSES LLC for forgiveness of a $354,000 promissory note.
BARBARA LYNCH is selling the construction permit for a new AM at 1600 AM in CASPER, WY to CANNED HAM COMMUNICATIONS, LLC for $4,500.
RADIO DISNEY has formally filed with the FCC for Silent STAs to take WDDZ-A/PAWTUCKET-PROVIDENCE and WDZK-A/BLOOMFIELD-HARTFORD, CT dark, saying that the company is negotiating with small broadcasters for the sale of the stations and that it is waiting for financing to be worked out.
WITHERS BROADCASTING OF SOUTHERN ILLINOIS has appealed the dismissal of its attempt to buy Sports WDDD-A (FOX SPORTS RADIO 810)/JOHNSTON CITY, IL, filing an Application for Review on SEPTEMBER 19th of the Commission's AUGUST 23rd dismissal of the deal with CLEAR CHANNEL. WDDD was the basis for the allocation of an expanded band station, WHTE-A/JOHNSTON CITY, that moved into the CHICAGO market and is now Talk WVON-A/BERWYN, IL (owned by CLEAR CHANNEL and operated by MIDWAY BROADCASTING). The rules require one of the two stations to go dark by AUGUST 2nd, 2011, and WITHERS is arguing that requiring adherence to the rule would deprive downstate ILLINOIS of service.
