Russell Brand Launches TalkSPORT Show

Actor/comedian/author RUSSELL BRAND has returned to radio with the first edition of his new SATURDAY show for UTV Sports TalkSPORT.  BRAND, who exited BBC RADIO 2 two years ago in the "SACHSGATE" prank call scandal and a fervent WEST HAM UNITED fan, hosted a soccer special in AUGUST 2009 for TalkSPORT with OASIS' NOEL GALLAGHER.

The new show was brought to TalkSPORT by BRAND's BBC PD LESLEY DOUGLAS, who also lost her job due to the fallout from the prank call to actor ANDREW SACHS and who now serves as Dir./Programming and Business Development at UNIVERSAL MUSIC UK.  

BRAND recently filmed a remake of the DUDLEY MOORE classic comedy "ARTHUR," recently released his fourth book "MY BOOKY WOOK 2: THIS TIME IT'S PERSONAL," and also faces battery charges after allegedly hitting a paparazzi who BRAND said harassed his fiancée KATY PERRY at LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT last month.
