Some of Country’s biggest stars and more than 8,800 fans packed the GRAND OLE OPRY HOUSE in NASHVILLE SATURDAY (10/9) to celebrate the OPRY’s 85th birthday. Among the many artists marking the occasion were TRACE ADKINS, ROY CLARK, DOLLY PARTON and TAYLOR SWIFT.
SWIFT recognized the efforts of those who had worked to ready the OPRY HOUSE for the occasion following last MAY’s flood and performed her hits “You Belong to Me,” “Mine” and “Love Story.” PARTON performed her classic hits “Jolene” and “9 to 5,” and dedicated “I Will Always Love You” to the memory of her friend and former duet partner PORTER WAGONER.
Upcoming performances at the OPRY this month include ADKINS, THE CHARLIE DANIELS BAND, GEORGE JONES, THE JUDDS, THE OAK RIDGE BOYS, BLAKE SHELTON, RANDY TRAVIS and more.
