HYDE CO. BOARD OF EDUCATION has asked for a Silent STA for WHYC/SWAN QUARTER, NC to repair damage to its transmitter system. The station had been operating under an STA since MARCH 12th; the station's call sign had been deleted and the FCC staff had notified the station that its license had expired on SEPTEMBER 1, 2006 because it had been silent for more than 12 consecutive months, but the station notified the Commission that it had not been silent for any 12 month period and the Commission granted an STA for it to operate pending a petition for reinstatement.
EXPONENT BROADCASTING, INC. has asked the FCC for an extension of its Silent STA for WXJO-A/DOUGLASVILLE, GA. The station has been silent since MARCH 12th.
KEVIN M. FITZGERALD has asked for an extension of his silent STA for FM translator W289BP/PALMERTON, PA due to a delay in repairs.
