NASHVILLE Mayor KARL DEAN appeared on CLEAR CHANNEL Country WSIX/NASHVILLE this morning (10/13) to inform retiring morning star GERRY HOUSE that he would be the Grand Marshal of this year’s MUSIC CITY CHRISTMAS parade.
HOUSE announced in SEPTEMBER that he will be hanging up his headphones at the end of this year, with his last show on the air being DECEMBER 15th (NET NEWS 9/3).
GERRY "HO HO HOUSE" said: "ALLYSON and I along with our family are thrilled to celebrate CHRISTMAS in the Parade. I remind everyone it's a time honored tradition to always throw gifts of cash and cakes to the Grand Marshal as we make our way through the merry streets of MUSIC CITY."
The NASHVILLE CHRISTMAS parade will be held DECEMBER 3rd, according to the TENNESSEAN. PIEDMONT GAS has also announced they will make a $5,000 donation to a charity or charities of GERRY's choice.
