The TENNESSEAN is reporting that the STARWOOD AMPHITHEATRE in NASHVILLE, which closed in 2007, could be reopened once again as a music venue. The property was rezoned for mixed use of commercial development with plans for upscale condominiums, but according to METRO NASHVILLE Councilman SAM COLEMAN the economy has stalled its development.
COLEMAN has been approached by VASTLAND REALTY GROUP about the reopening of STARWOOD to host concerts, but the property would have to be rezoned again.
A town hall meeting will be held today for District 32 and the public at 6:30p (CT) TONIGHT (10/14) to discuss the STARWOOD property, along with the HICKORY HOLLOW MALL development. Click here to read more on this story.
