WBT's John Hancock Celebrates 20 Years On Charlotte Radio

Congratulations to GREATER MEDIA Talk WBT-A-F/CHARLOTTE evening host JOHN HANCOCK, who is celebrating his 20th anniversary of being on the air in CHARLOTTE. HANCOCK has been with WBT for most of the last two decades except for a stint in mornings at crosstown CLEAR CHANNEL Alternative WEND (106.5 THE END).

HANCOCK told the CHARLOTTE OBSERVER's MARK WASHBURN that "I had to ask somebody where CHARLOTTE was when I first got an offer here. And for this COLORADO boy, coming here was the best thing that ever happened ... I don't have that pipety radio voice, I'm not the smartest guy in the world. But somehow or other, I wound up with a bond with the people here, and somehow didn't commit career suicide with the management."
