Jazzy Jordon Appoints Three At Verity Records

VERITY GOSPEL MUSIC GROUP EVP JAMES "JAZZY" JORDAN announces three new appointments. First, STANLEY BROWN has been appointed to the position of Sr/Dir of A&R for the company. BROWN is music director for THE GREATER ALLEN CATHEDRAL OF NEW YORK and also serves in the same capacity for BET's gospel singing competiton, "SUNDAY BEST." BROWN's label experience includes VP/A&R for ISLAND BLACK MUSIC. BROWN will be based in NEW YORK.
JORDAN also appointed STEPHEN L SMITH to A&R Manager for VERITY. SMITH joined the company in 2007 as A&R Representative. In this newly created role, SMITH will continue to oversee A&R operations and serve as A&R lead on designated projects. SMITH will also be based in NEW YORK.
Finally, DEBRA HANNA joins the company as Dir/Radio Promotions. HANNA comes to VERITY with 25 years of experience in radio promotions. Most recently, HANNA worked with artists MARTHA MUNIZZI, JONATHON BUTLER, TRY TRIBBETT and BEBE WINANS. HANNA will be based in CHICAGO.
"In order for VERITY GOSPEL MUSIC GROUP to remain the leader in the Gospel music industry, we have to re-evaluate our priorities and reorganize ourselves," said JORDON. "These latest developments reflect my mission to build a team that ensures VERITY will maintain its winning edge in Gospel music." These appointments are effective immediately.
