CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO has announced a multi-platform campaign for the USO. The campaign, part of CLEAR CHANNEL's 2010 National Community Engagement program, includes a PSA series for broadcast radio and an exclusive digital channel for the USO on CLEAR CHANNEL's iHEARTRADIO mobile app.
The PSA program, "Aftermath," will air on over 850 radio stations in 10 markets nationwide. The announcements will be available in both pre-recorded and live script form. The digital channel will include videos, interviews, photos, FACEBOOK and TWITTER updates of USO programs, soldiers and their families.
"Whether it's operating in more than 160 USO locations around the world or the hundreds of thousands of care packages sent every year or the vital support they provide for our wounded warriors, the USO symbolizes what it means to 'Support our Troops,'" said SVP/Programming CLAY HUNNICUTT. "Our platforms reach millions of Americans and with the enthusiastic backing of our thousands of employees, CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO is dedicated and committed to doing everything we can to promote the great work that the USO is doing for our country's heroes."
"CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO has been an amazing partner for the USO, helping to broadcast our mission of support for our troops and their families since 2002," said USO Pres. SLOAN GIBSON. "Last year alone, CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO leveraged their leading platforms to give the USO media exposure valued at more than $2 million, which translated into a significant increase in donations, volunteer hours and goods to help our warriors. We're grateful for all the support from CLEAR CHANNEL and are thankful for all the hard work they are putting behind this major and impactful effort to help our troops."
