Harlem Globetrotters To Celebrate 85th Birthday With The Opry

Hi-Lite Bruton To Appear

Members of the HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS basketball team will be appearing at the GRAND OLE OPRY tonight (10/19) to help the OPRY celebrate its 85th birthday. The GLOBETROTTERS are also marking their 85th season this year and players SCOOTER CHRISTENSEN, HI-LITE BRUTON and ANT ATKINSON will present the OPRY with an authentic #85 jersey to commemorate their joint birthdays.

The players will also be showing off some of their famous GLOBETROTTERS moves to the OPRY sounds of “Sweet Georgia Brown.” The show kicks off tonight at 7p (CT) at the GRAND OLE OPRY HOUSE in NASHVILLE. Other performers on the bill for tonight include CHARLIE DANIELS, DIAMOND RIO, JIMMY DICKENS, GEORGE JONES and JOSH THOMPSON.
