J RECORDS recording artist MONICA has announced her engagement to SHANNON BROWN of THE LOS ANGELES LAKERS. The singer, 29 met BROWN 24, this past summer when he played the love interest in the video for her hit track, “Love All Over Me.”

According to reports, SHANNON proposed to MONICA last TUESDAY in front of both sets of parents. SHANNON BROWN supposedly wanted to break the news to both sides of the family simultaneously. No wedding date has been set yet.
