Reports are surfacing that pop superstar BEYONCE KNOWLES is pregnant with her first child by husband JAY-Z, THE NEW YORK POST reports "the GRAMMY AWARD-winning artist is said to be in her first trimester of pregnancy, which reportedly came "as something of a surprise."

"B was shocked. She loves kids, but she wasn't ready to be a mother just yet," said a source close to the singer. "She really wanted to get her album done and tour the world again."

"This is a gift from God, and she's so happy," another friend told US WEEKLY.

The couple have not yet confirmed the news.
