LOS ANGELES radio veteran JAY COFFEY, former PD at CBS Oldies KRTH (K-EARTH 101)/LOS ANGELES and ENTERCOM Oldies KBSG/SEATTLE, has been named for mornings at MT. WILSON BROADCASTING Country KKGO (GO COUNTRY)/LOS ANGELES.
COFFEY will take over the 6-10a (PT) shift beginning MONDAY, OCTOBER 25th. Current morning host GINNY HARMAN will remain as co-host.
“JAY has proven his talent in the L.A. market and his ability to connect with the local audience,” said station Pres. SAUL LEVINE. “I’m confident that he will energize the morning drive with a mix of great Country music and his unique and entertaining commentary.”
“It’s so great to be back in my adopted city of LOS ANGELES,” adds COFFEY. “And now to have the pleasure to work for one of the true radio pioneers, SAUL LEVINE, PD TONYA CAMPOS, plus my longtime friend JEFF POLLACK and the very talented air staff at “GO COUNTRY.” I can’t wait to get started.”
