Who's Buying What

LIBERTY UNIVERSITY, INC. is selling FM translator W298AZ/SOUTH HILL, VA to LAKES MEDIA LLC for $30,250.  The translator will simulcast the buyer's WSHV-A/SOUTH HILL.

TODD MARKER is buying the ROBERT AMES RIVKIN TRUST's 60% interest in RM BROADCASTING, LLC, licensee of Country KPLM/PALM SPRINGS, Classic Rock KMRJ (99.5 THE HEAT)/RANCHO MIRAGE, and Smooth Jazz KJJZ/INDIO, CA and programmer of AC KAJR (THE OASIS)/INDIAN WELLS, CA under a time brokerage agreement.  MARKER, who is paying $6,600 less 60% of the company's debt to MITCHELL MEDIA, INC., will end up with 100% of the company after the transaction.

ARCHANGEL COMMUNICATIONS has applied for an extension of its Silent STA for WNGL-A/MOBILE, AL.  The station is actually on the air at low power with EWTN programing plus legal IDs and is asking for the extension to complete testing and proofs of its facility.

TUGART PROPERTIES, LLC has applied for an extension of its Silent STA for FM translator W225BH/CARNESVILLE, GA, pending a change in frequencies.

And GRAND SLAM SPORTS LLC has closed on the purchase of Sports KSLG-A (TEAM 1380) from SIMMONS MEDIA GROUP INC. for $350,000.  GRAND SLAM took over operation of KSLG on JULY 1st under an LMA.  GRAND SLAM also operates Sports KFNS-A/ST. LOUIS,  LARRY PATRICK and GREG GUY of PATRICK COMMUNICATIONS served as brokers for the deal.
