The Hawk Goes Outdoor For Ocean Of Love

MILLENNIUM RADIO GROUP Classic Rock WCHR (THE HAWK)/MONMOUTH-OCEAN, NJ will hold its annual OCEAN OF LOVE Billboard Radiothon from OCTOBER 25th-29th to benefit OCEAN OF LOVE, an OCEAN CO.-based organization that aids local children with cancer and their families. 

Midday personality ANDY CHASE will eat, sleep and live in a tent on top of a billboard in the LOWES/TARGET parking lot in TOMS RIVER, NJ for the entire week. The entire on-air staff at THE HAWK will broadcast live for the week at the billboard site, taking donations and sharing stories of children affected with cancer who utilize OCEAN OF LOVE. 

CHASE has been doing this for the past 11 years and he always looks forward to this each year. "There is no part of this I'm not looking forward to; seeing the kids’ faces and the outpouring of the community makes it all worth it," CHASE said.

To date, THE HAWK has raised approximately $900,000 for OCEAN OF LOVE, with this year’s ultimate goal reaching the one million mark.  "It’s become very personal to all of us, it feels like Ocean of Love is part of our family," PD RACE THOMAS said.
