INDIANAPOLIS INDIANS minor league baseball is moving from PILGRIM COMMUNICATIONS Sports WXLW (XL 950)/INDIANAPOLIS to crosstown CLEAR CHANNEL Sports WNDE-A beginning in the 2011 season. Games will be heard on the air and online, streaming at the station's website and via iHEARTRADIO. HOWARD KELLMAN will continue to call the action for his 36th season with the club, with SCOTT MCCAULEY back for his sixth season.
"We are pleased to have INDIANAPOLIS INDIANS games broadcast on WNDE beginning next season" said INDIANS Director of Special Projects BRUCE SCHUMACHER. "I appreciate the enthusiasm RICK GREEN and his team have for INDIANS Baseball. We feel WNDE along with cross promotional support from its sister stations Q-95 and X-103 will help increase the audience for the INDIANAPOLIS INDIANS both on the radio and at VICTORY FIELD."
"WNDE is excited to partner with one of the most successful minor league clubs in baseball" said CLEAR CHANNEL INDIANAPOLIS VP/Market Manager RICK GREEN. "CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO has been a promotional partner with the INDIANS at many VICTORY FIELD events over the years. This broadcast agreement completes that relationship."
