Attention Station Managers! Radio Ad Scam Returns

An old credit card scam has returned to haunt radio station sales staffs. This one, caught by KBST-A/F AND KTBS/BIG SPRING, TX GM ERICA MORSE, has a "potential advertiser" contacting an AE, offering Cash-in-Advance via a (stolen) credit card to sell English Bulldog Puppies or Yorkshire Terriers.

The objective is to secure a down payment from our listeners via a debit or credit card. Those cards are then also used for fraudulent purchases. Since they are going direct to the AE, and the original credit cards being used for payment are clearing, this is one of those that can easily be missed as a scam.
