NEW NORTHWEST BROADCASTERS Country KXLW (96.3 THE WOLF)/ANCHORAGE has moved to full-time Country from its previous Country/Rock mix. VP/Programming TOM OAKES said, "KXLW now features a gold-based Country approach mixing roughly 70% gold to 30% currents. The library is based in the '70s, '80s and '90s, including some classics from the '60s."
Billed as "ALASKA’s Real Country," KXLW has added DIAL-GLOBAL’s "RICK JACKSON’s Country Hall of Fame" on SATURDAY mornings and continues with the Bluegrass show "Into the Blue" on SUNDAY mornings.
DEREK MORAN will join the station on NOVEMBER 1st, handling APD duties and morning drive. Besides MORAN (6-10a), KXLW will continue to feature SHELLEY RYAN (10a-1p), TOM OAKES (1-3p), CHRIS MEADOWS (3-7p) and BRAD ERICKSON (7-11p). Veteran voice imaging talent JOHN WILLYARD is now the voice of THE WOLF.
