NPR's WASHINGTON headquarters received a bomb threat MONDAY, reports the WASHINGTON POST. The threat, which came in the mail, came five days after the firing of news analyst JUAN WILLIAMS, which generated a substantial backlash from conservatives, although the threat did not specifically mention the WILLIAMS firing.
A staff memo sent MONDAY warned NPR employees about a "security threat," but was not specific about the threat received.
