Longtime CLEVELAND CAVALIERS radio voice JOE TAIT has undergone a heart catheterization and will have valve replacement and double heart bypass surgery next week. TAIT, who has been off the air since falling ill with pneumonia during the preseason, had the heart procedure TUESDAY (10/26) at the CLEVELAND CLINIC.
The team says that there is "no specific timetable for his return, but JOE and the CAVALIERS continue to look forward to him getting back behind the mic later this season." The CAVS are heard on CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WTAM-A/CLEVELAND, with WTAM Sports Director MIKE SNYDER filling in for TAIT on play-by-play and former CAVS player JIM CHONES handling analysis.
