The campaign of DELAWARE Republican candidate for Senate CHRISTINE O'DONNELL has apologized to DELMARVA BROADCASTING Talk WDEL-A/WILMINGTON for demanding that video of the candidate's appearance on RICK JENSEN's show be destroyed or the station would face a lawsuit.
WDEL.COM reports that O'DONNELL appeared on JENSEN's show TUESDAY afternoon; Afterward, a representative from O'DONNELL's campaign asked the station to turn over and not release the video because the videotaping was not approved by the campaign. O'DONNELL told JENSEN that she would sue if the video was released, and her campaign manager MATT MORAN threatened in a phone call to "crush" the station if it did not turn over the video.
Later, an attorney for the campaign apologized for MORAN's assertions and, the station says, agreed that there was no legal issue involved with release of the video.
