WRXP Changes 'Masquerade' To A Free Show; Devo Cancels Tour Due To Bob Mothersbaugh's Serious Hand Injury

EMMIS Alternative/Triple A hybrid WRXP (ROCK 101.9 RXP)/NEW YORK announced TODAY (10/27) that DEVO was forced to cancel their tour and appearance this SATURDAY, OCTOBER 30th at "METROPCS MASQUERADE" due to a serious hand injury to DEVO guitarist BOB MOTHERSBAUGH.
DEVO's website indicates a glass shard sliced MOTHERSBAUGH's right thumb to the bone, severing a tendon. DEVO is planning to reschedule tour dates next SPRING.
The RXP "MASQUERADE" show will go on as a free concert at the HAMMERSTEIN BALLROOM featuring NEON TREES, THE DRUMS and other special guests. Ticket holders will be honored at the door on Saturday night and can receive refunds at their point of purchase.
