CLEVELAND CAVALIERS radio voice JOE TAIT passed out at his home SUNDAY and was taken to the hospital with a blood clot in his lung, the NBA team said in a press release TODAY (11/1). TAIT, who has been off the air since a bout with pneumonia during the preseason and who is scheduled for a double bypass and aortic valve replacement surgery, was transferred from MEDINA HOSPITAL to the CLEVELAND CLINIC, where he received treatment for the clot and an "umbrella" filter procedure to prevent further clots from reaching his lungs.
The CAVS, heard on CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WTAM-A/CLEVELAND, say TAIT is resting comfortably at the CLEVELAND CLINIC and his surgeries will be rescheduled after further examination.
