Joel Burke Named PD At KASE/KVET, Gary Walsh Promoted

CLEAR CHANNEL/AUSTIN has radio veteran JOEL BURKE as PD for Country KASE/KVET. JOEL, who is a consultant for WOODEN MEDIA SERVICES, previously spent more than a decade programming LINCOLN FINANCIAL Country KYGO and Oldies KRWZ-A.

OM JAY SHANNON said, “JOEL brings top market experience and expertise to lead our legendary stations to success.”

JOEL begins in his new role on THURSDAY (11/4).

GARY WALSH, who was acting as Interim PD for KASE/KVET and was PD of the formerly-CC/AUSTIN-owned sister Contemporary Christian KFMK, will now be CC/AUSTIN’s Digital PD. In addition, he will oversee the production department and the CC/AUSTIN TOTAL TRAFFIC NETWORK.

SHANNON added, “[GARY] understands the correlation between on air and online and will grow our CC/AUSTIN Digital platform while working closely with our talent and content brand directors.”
