CHET-5 BROADCASTING Triple A WDST (RADIO WOODSTOCK)/POUGHKEEPSIE, NY, held their first annual PINK OCTOBER REQUEST-A-THON WEEKEND at the end of OCTOBER. Through donations from listeners, bids on items in their online auction and a benefit show with COMPANY OF THIEVES, WDST raised over $50,000 for breast cancer clinical research at the DYSON CENTER FOR CANCER CARE at VASSAR BROS. MEDICAL CENTER in POUGHKEEPSIE, NY.
"We're thrilled at how supportive our listeners were. During hard times like these, people reached into their hearts and into their wallets to come up with more than $50,000," said RADIO WOODSTOCK President and General Manager GARY CHETKOF. "The best part is that 100% of this money is staying right here in the HUDSON VALLEY. The DYSON CENTER FOR CANCER CARE is leading the way in cutting edge research and treatment, so we're proud to have them as the recipient of this huge donation."
