The NBA's ATLANTA HAWKS and NHL's ATLANTA THRASHERS have inked a multi-year contract with SKYVIEW NETWORKS to use SKYVIEW's satellite distribution services and Live Read Management Service.
"The opportunity to provide HAWKS and THRASHERS game broadcasts with even more of our fans across the country and around the world is very exciting for us," said HAWKS and THRASHERS SVP/Sales and Marketing and Chief Sales Officer TRACY WHITE. "The HAWKS and THRASHERS are not only regional brands, but national and international brands as well, and SKYVIEW's extensive radio distribution capabilities will enable us to continue to build both teams' followings."
"We are pleased to expand our presence in ATLANTA with premiere teams like the ATLANTA HAWKS and the ATLANTA THRASHERS," said SKYVIEW Pres. KEN THIELE. "I am confident our systems will provide the reliability and flexibility that play-by-play broadcast requires, and the added value of ad-regionalization that advertisers seek. We look forward to many exciting seasons working together."
The HAWKS network is headed by CUMULUS Alternative WWWQ-HD-2 and W250BC (99X AT 97.9FM)/ATLANTA, while the THRASHERS are heard on sister DICKEY BROADCASTING Sports WCNN-A (680 THE FAN).
