FCC Proposes $25K Fine Vs. Florida AM

The FCC has proposed a $25,000 fine against RAMA COMMUNICATIONS, INC. for staffing and public file violations at Talk WRHB-A (HEARTBEAT RADIO)/LEESBURG, FL.

A 2009 inspection by FCC agents from the TAMPA bureau found that all staffers present at the main studio were employed by HEARTBEAT RADIO, not the licensee, and that the station did not have a complete public file and was missing issues/programs lists after JUNE 12th, 2007 and a copy of the time brokerage agreement.  A subsequent inspection found one of two present employees employed by RAMA, and that employee had only started less than two weeks prior.
