Charges Dropped Against Singer Mario

ALL ACCESS has learned that today SHAWNTIA HARDAWAY, mother of R&B singer MARIO, has dropped the assault charges she filed against her son in late OCTOBER, admitting she was intoxicated at the time. MS. HARDAWAY accused MARIO of assaulting her and trashing their apartment in the FELLS POINT area near downtown BALTIMORE. 

She appeared before the DISTRICT COURT OF MARYLAND for BALTIMORE CITY this afternoon and asked that the charges be dropped. She has been in a constant battle with heroin addition in the past. The popular BALTIMORE-born singer, whose full name is MARIO DEWAR BARRETT, had no comment.
