BNA/NASHVILLE star KENNY CHESNEY has announced he will return to touring in 2011 after taking a break in 2010. CHESNEY's "Goin' Coastal Tour" will hit nine stadiums next year, with ATLANTIC/SOUTHERN GROUND/BIGGER PICTURE group ZAC BROWN BAND co-headlining.
The tour begins MARCH 19th at RAYMOND JAMES STADIUM in TAMPA, trekking through cities like DALLAS, WASHINGTON, D.C., GREEN BAY, PHILADELPHIA, PITTSBURGH, KANSAS CITY and DETROIT before closing AUGUST 27th in FOXBORO, MA at GILLETTE STADIUM. MERCURY/NASHVILLE artist BILLY CURRINGTON and TOP DOG/BIGGER PICTURE/ATLANTIC's UNCLE KRACKER will be the opening acts, but UNCLE KRACKER will not play the FOXBORO date.
Additional arena and amphitheatre dates will be announced soon. This tour will have more stops than any CHESNEY tour since 2006. Tickets will go on sale starting NOVEMBER 20th at www.kennychesney.com. CHESNEY will make at least 7,000 tickets available for $25 at most of the stadium dates, with a whopping 13,922 for the MARCH 19th TAMPA show.
CHESNEY said: "We're going to be playing new songs and lots of old favorites, and I can already tell it's going to be a lot of fun. I can't wait to get back in front of my fans."
Next up for CHESNEY is the release of his "Boys Of Fall" documentary, which will be available for pre-order at www.walmart.com and at WAL-MART stores beginning NOVEMBER 9th.
KENNY added: "I've always loved playing stadiums because I get to see so many of my fans at one time, but after everything I learned from the football heroes I met while making 'Boys of Fall,' I'm seeing stadiums in a whole new way."
