The FCC's proposed fines for public file violations continue with a $10,000 proposed fine against MAPLETON LICENSE OF SAN LUIS OBISPO, LLC for Classic Hits KXDZ (THE BEACH)/TEMPLETON, CA. The station's file was missing issues/programs lists for the fourth quarter of 2007, first, second, and third quarters of 2008, and the first and fourth quarters of 2009. The Commission noted that the station had previously admitted public file violations, related to EEO reports, in the prior license term and warned MAPLETON of harsher penalties for further violations.
The Commission also dismissed a proposal to add an FM allocation at SILVERPEAK, NV. The allocation, proposed by SHAMROCK COMMUNICATIONS, INC., was contingent on a frequency change for an allocation at AMARGOSA VALLEY, NV, and SHAMROCK filed an application and fee for the AMARGOSA VALLEY facility but was dismissed for failure to prosecute. With the change at AMARGOSA VALLEY off the table, the SILVERPEAK allocation was dismissed as well.
And the Commission added a Class A FM allocation at ONEKAMA, MI pursuant to a counterproposal by NORTHERN RADIO OF MICHIGAN to ROY E. HENDERSON's proposal to upgrade his WCUZ/BEAR LAKE, MI on a new frequency and allocate another frequency to CUSTER, MI, which was dismissed.
