Congrats to BROKEN BOW RECORDS artist JASON ALDEAN who sold 193,000 units in first week sales for his album “MY KINDA PARTY.” This debut makes it the highest album debut of last week for Country and the biggest first week debut by a Country male vocalist in over three years. BNA/NASHVILLE star KENNY CHESNEY set the previous high mark in SEPTEMBER 2007.
“I can’t say enough about my fans and this incredible ride we are all taking together. Don’t count out the kids who live out in the sticks, drive pickup trucks, wear JOHN DEERE hats and like their Country music on the rockin’ side. There are a whole lot of us,” said ALDEAN. “It’s always exciting to put out new music and see what the reaction will be. It’s been a killer week, and now I’m focused on performing on the CMAs with KELLY CLARKSON tonight. It’ll be special and like nothing I’ve ever done on TV before.”
The “44th Annual CMA AWARDS,” will be broadcast on ABC-TV, from NASHVILLE’s BRIDGESTONE ARENA, TODAY (11/10), from 8-11p (ET/PT).
