Joseph Oerke Promoted To VP Deutsche Grammophon & Decca Classics/U.S.

JOSEPH OERKE has been promoted to VP of DEUTSCHE GRAMMOPHON & DECCA CLASSICS, U.S., it was announced TODAY (11/11) by DECCA LABEL GROUP GM PAUL FOLEY and UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP INTERNATIONAL SVP/Classical A&R COSTA PILAVACHI, OERKE will report to FOLEY, and work closely with PILAVACHI. Formerly, he served as Associate Dir./Classics, for the company.
"JOSEPH is ready to assume this new responsibility," stated FOLEY. "He has proven that he has the drive and vision to lead the U.S. classical team."
"As a bright, talented and focused executive, JOSEPH brings renewed energy and commitment to our classical business in the U.S.," commented PILAVACHI.
"Now is a challenging time in the recording industry; with challenge, though, comes immense opportunity for innovation," added OERKE.
