Joyce Kaufman Won't Join Congressman's Staff, Will Stay At WFTL

JOYCE KAUFMAN has reversed course and announced on TODAY's show on JAMES CRYSTAL Talk WFTL-A/FORT LAUDERDALE-WEST PALM BEACH that she will not take the job as newly-elected Congressman ALLEN WEST's Chief of Staff after all.  

KAUFMAN, who had previously announced that she would be leaving WFTL to take the job with WEST's staff, told her listeners that she will remain at WFTL and did not want herself to be used by WEST's foes against the freshman Republican.

WEST's campaign issued a statement reading, "It is with deep regret that this Congressional office and the people of CD 22 will not have JOYCE KAUFMAN as my Chief of Staff. JOYCE is a good friend, and will remain loyal to South Floridians and to me. I will always seek JOYCE's counsel for being a good Representative of this congressional district."
