CLEAR CHANNEL SOUTHERN COLORADO partnered with the PUEBLO AREA CHAPTER OF CREDIT UNIONS and PUEBLO REGIONAL CENTER to collect more than 5000 items for women on active military duty around the world. "Operation: Women in Uniform," conducted during SEPTEMBER and OCTOBER and inspired by the relative of a CLEAR CHANNEL employee whose cousin is serving in the NAVY in AFGHANISTAN, collected items like properly-sized shower shoes, soaps and deodorants from the community, solicited on Talk KCSJ-A, Sports KDZA-AM (HOMER 1350), and Classic Hits KPHT.
"We want to thank SOUTHERN COLORADO for stepping up for their mothers, sisters, nieces and neighbors serving in the military," said PAUL IHANDER, CLEAR CHANNEL SOUTHERN COLORADO Director of AM Programming. "This one small gesture intended for women on active duty would not have become such a giant success without the community's desire to take part."
