Who's Buying What

PROVIDENT BROADCASTING COMPANY, INC. is selling Contemporary Christian WVFJ-F (J93.3)/GREENVILLE-ATLANTA, GA to RADIO TRAINING NETWORK, INC. for $4 million.

In another deal filed with the FCC, LINCOLN FINANCIAL MEDIA COMPANY OF COLORADO is buying FM translator K276FK/PINECLIFFE, CO from VIC MICHAEL's MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY TRANSLATORS, LLC for $375,000.  The translator is being moved to LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, from where it will reach a significant portion of the DENVER market, and is listed as planning to rebroadcast the buyer's Country KYGO/DENVER, which rebroadcasts sister Oldies KRWZ (CRUISIN' OLDIES 950) on its HD-2 channel.

OREGON PUBLIC BROADCASTING is swapping the construction permit for KQDL/HINES, OR to CALVARY CHAPEL OF TWIN FALLS, INC. and $3,000 for FM translator K252DL/WALTON, OR.

SANTEE SIOUX NATION is donating the construction permit for a new FM at SANTEE, NE to NEBRASKA INDIAN COMMUNITY COLLEGE.

CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION FOR RESEARCH AND EDUCATION INC. is selling the construction permit for a new FM at SUSANVILLE, CA to IHR EDUCATIONAL BROADCASTING for $8,000.

GRENAX BROADCASTING III, LLC is transferring KFLX/CHINO VALLEY, AZ to GRENAX BROADCASTING II, LLC for forgiveness of t$1,150,000 in debt plus unpaid interest.

DOMINICAN MONASTERY OF MARY THE QUEEN is selling the construction permit for noncommercial WMTQ/ELMIRA, NY to HOLY FAMILY COMMUNICATIONS for $1,000.

PACIFIC BROADCASTING OF MISSOURI, LLC has asked for a silent STA for KTKY/REFUGIO, TX for time to move the station's facility.

DLC MEDIA, INC. has asked for a silent STA for FM translator W249BP/PRINCETON, IN in order to relocate the antenna site.

WEIRSDALE WOMEN IN BROADCASTING ASSOCIATION has applied for an extension of its silent STA for low-power FM WHZL-LP/WEIRSDALE, FL while it considers options for transmitter replacement.

TENNESSEE TEMPLE UNIVERSITY has closed on the sale of noncommercial Religion WDYN/CHATTANOOGA to BIBLE BROADCASTING NETWORK for $2.5 million.

And a deal by which SPOKANE TRANSLATOR ASSOCIATION was trading K222BG/DARTFORD, WA to THIN AIR COMMUNITY RADIO in exchange for low-power FM KYRS-LP/SPOKANE, which would have allowed THIN AIR to own new noncommercial KYRS/MEDICAL LAKE, WA by divesting the LPFM, has been dismissed at THIN AIR's request.
