DAVIS MUSIC GROUP's GM GATOR MICHAELS has announced the hiring of TONY RAMEY as Creative Dir./songwriter to the publishing division. RAMEY will report directly to MICHAELS.
MICHAELS said: "In addition to his music publishing expertise, TONY is an extremely talented songwriter. I believe this position is going to take his songwriting talents to a whole new level and we are proud of his addition to the DAVIS MUSIC GROUP family."
RAMEY has written songs recorded by TRISHA YEARWOOD, CRAIG MORGAN, TRENT TOMLINSON, BUCKY COVINGTON, JOHN MICHAEL MONTGOMERY, DOUG STONE, THE STEPHENS SISTERS, JOHNNY BUSH, KEVIN DENNY, CLAY WALKER, GEORGE STRAIT and many other artists out of NASHVILLE.
RAMEY said: "GATOR MICHAELS has a great vision for a music company in today’s climate because he knows what matters most and that is what's on 'the shiny side of the CD.' If the music isn't there then nothing is going to happen. For that reason, I have much respect for MICHAELS and CEO/Pres. JIM L. DAVIS. I'm thrilled to be a part of the family and eager to get started."
Songwriter DAVID CHAMBERLAIN will also join RAMEY as songwriter for the publishing division of the company.
