Jury deliberations in the corruption trial of former ILLINOIS Governor GEORGE RYAN were brought into question when it was disclosed that a caller to ABC Talk WLS-A/CHICAGO's ROE CONN afternoon show two weeks ago said that he had spoken to one of the jurors and gave some details of the deliberation.
Jurors are prohibited from discussing the case, but a caller known as DENNIS THE DRY CLEANER claimed that a female juror told him about the jury's deliberations, and a tape of the call was subpoenaed; Judge REVBECCA PALLMEYER met with prosecutors and RYAN's lawyers TUESDAY but no details of the discussions were released to the media. Two jurors have previosuly been dismissed from the trial for failure to disclose prior legal entanglements.
