ALL ACCESS congratulates TEXAS MUSIC CHART Publishers ED & PAM SHANE, as the CHART celebrates 10 years of tracking airplay of TEXAS and Red Dirt (OKLAHOMA) music at radio in the Southwest. The CHART debuted NOVEMBER 20, 2000 with airplay information from 35 radio stations in TEXAS. Today, the number of radio reporters has grown to more than 90, most in TEXAS and a handful in contiguous states.
The CHART publishes the Top 50 “spins,” or plays, each MONDAY at www.TexasMusicChart.com, with coverage every MONDAY in ALL ACCESS NET NEWS, inside the Country section.
COLUMBIA/NASHVILLE artist MIRANDA LAMBERT said: “I really believe that hitting the TEXAS MUSIC CHART with my first single, ‘TEXAS Pride,’ put my name on the map not only in TEXAS, but it also put me on the NASHVILLE radar.”
TMC Editor KATIE KEY added: “We couldn’t do it without the dedication of our radio station reporters. They’re enthusiastic about the music they play and they enjoy helping the artists get the recognition they deserve.”
The weekly TEXAS MUSIC CHART is the industry standard for measurement of airplay at TEXAS radio, published by SHANE MEDIA SERVICES of HOUSTON, which also publishes BEST IN TEXAS Music Magazine, available free each month at live music venues, restaurants and retail across TEXAS.
