The PSA campaign by CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO stations nationwide last week generated over $515,000 for FISHER HOUSE FOUNDATION in a fundraising drive for the charity, which provides housing and support for families of wounded veterans at VA and military hospitals. The total includes a $250,000 donation from the USAA FEDERAL SAVINGS BANK.
"We are humbled by the generosity of the American people and thank everyone who has made a donation to our military families on this VETERANS DAY," said FISHER HOUSE FOUNDATION Chairman KEN FISHER. "We thank CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO for their unparalleled support in this effort. The depth of our gratitude to our men and women who have worn our nation's uniform -- and who have put their own safety at risk to defend ours -- seems to know no end. We look forward to putting these funds to use to build yet another FISHER HOUSE that will serve our military families in need."
"We are proud of our stations and thank our listeners for their amazing support of our Veterans and our active duty military all over the world," said CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO SVP of Programming CLAY HUNNICUTT. "CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO's celebrity talent and creative group of in house marketers have spent countless hours getting behind this campaign. They have shown how committed our organization is in helping support our country's heroes."
