The FCC has canceled a proposed $10,000 fine against PEAK COMMUNICATIONS, former licensee of KYKV (now Contemporary Christian KYKV, formerly Top 40 KQBE)/SELAH-YAKIMA, WA, for public file violations, and has instead admonished PEAK for the lapse, which involved missing issues/programs lists from 1999 through 2004 and a missing biennial ownership report for 2003. The reduction came after PEAK demonstrated that a fine would cause financial hardship.
PEAK sold the station to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION in 2008, after the alleged public file problems took place.
