KMXZ Raises $131,000 With 'Thanksgiving On The Mayflower'

ALL ACCESS sends congratulations out to the staff of JOURNAL AC KMXZ (94.9 MIX FM)/TUCSON, who raised over $131,000 with its "THANKSGIVING ON THE MAYFLOWER" promotion on THURSDAY (11/18) from 5a-7p.

KMXZ partnered with MERIDIAN MAYFLOWER MOVING SYSTEMS and encouraged listeners fill a moving truck with food donations. The event raised $131,000 and 7,000 pounds of food to benefit the TUCSON residents who rely on the COMMUNITY FOOD BANK.

KMXZ morning show host BOBBY RICH commented, "What an amazing experience, to see the good in people, their open hearts and extreme generosity, helping to raise the equivalent of over $1.3 million in 14 hours to feed those truly in need. This was the largest one-day collection in the TUCSON COMMUNITY FOOD BANKS history, breaking the record set by us at last year’s THANKSGIVING on the MAYFLOWER. We have fabulous listeners. Thank you to everyone who donated."
