DON WEEKS' final show in mornings on CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WGY-A-F/ALBANY-SCHENECTADY-TROY, NY has been moved up to DECEMBER 3rd due to "recent health issues." WEEKS, who announced his retirement in JUNE and will be replaced by Director of News and Programming and longtime WEEKS sidekick CHUCK CUSTER and former local TV news anchor KELLY LYNCH, will be hosting his last show two days after his 30th anniversary at WGY.
"It has been a great run but the time is right to step away," said WEEKS. "I still hope to help out with this year's CHRISTMAS Wish campaign and will be no stranger to the station in the weeks and months ahead. The show is in great hands. CHUCK and KELLY will be tremendous."
VP/Market Manager KRISTEN DELANEY said, "We can't thank DON enough for 30 years of tremendous service to the CAPITAL REGION. After giving so much to all of us, it's now time for him to concentrate on getting better and enjoying the fruits of his labor." OM JOHN COOPER added, "Very simply, DON is one of the all-time greats! He'll be missed."
