A FLORIDA woman has been arrested as the alleged source of the e-mail threat sent to JAMES CRYSTAL RADIO Talk WFTL-A/FORT LAUDERDALE-WEST PALM BEACH host JOYCE KAUFMAN on NOVEMBER 10th that led to the lockdown of schools in BROWARD COUNTY, FL.
ELISSA MARTINEZ, 48, of NEW PORT RICHEY, FL, was arrested TUESDAY in LOS ANGELES and charged with interstate communication of a threat to injure another for threatening "something big" at a BROWARD government building.
The e-mail, sent NOVEMBER 10th, congratulated KAUFMAN for her announcement that she would be joining freshman Rep. ALLEN WEST (R-FL) as his Chief of Staff (which KAUFMAN later decided not to do) but complained about illegal immigration and Muslims and said she was "planning something big around a government building here in BROWARD COUNTY, maybe a post office, maybe even a school, I'm going to walk in and teach all the government hacks working there what the 2nd Amendment is all about. Can I count on your help?"
She added that the year would end "in a blaze of glory for sure." Later, WFTL received a call from a woman saying her husband was going to stage a shooting at a school in PEMBROKE PINES, a call traced back to MARTINEZ.
