LINCOLN FINANCIAL Adult Top 40 WSTR (STAR 94)/ATLANTA PD SCOTT LINDY and the staff are coming off a major high from this past weekend's 8th ANNUAL STAR 94 CARES FOR KIDS RADIOTHON which raised an amazing $560,000, benefiting CHILDREN's HEALTHCARE OF ATLANTA.
The event featured stories of triumph and hope from families that CHILDREN's has touched, we also met current patients at the hospital who shared their own experiences live on the air. Proceeds from the fundraiser support a number of programs and services, as well as much needed equipment for CHILDREN's HEALTHCARE OF ATLANTA, a not-for-profit pediatric healthcare organization.
STAR 94 PD SCOTT LINDY beamed like a proud papa to ALL ACCESS, "I think we knocked it out of the park for THE STAR 94 CARES FOR KIDS RADIOTHON raising $560,212! That's a little higher than last year and an amazing amount of money considering the down economy, dozens of GEORGIA banks failing and having our state above the national average in unemployment. When times are tough STAR 94 listeners still find a way to give over half a million dollars to CHILDREN's HEALTHCARE OF ATLANTA.
"We have now raised over $7.8 million for CHILDREN's HEALTHCARE OF ATLANTA in 7 years. Impressive."Check out the photos here.
