GOOGLE will face antitrust investigation in the EUROPEAN UNION, facing allegations that the company abused its dominance in online searches.
THE NEW YORK TIMES reports the E.U. released a statement saying, "the move follows complaints by specialized search-related companies about 'unfavorable treatment of their services in GOOGLE's unpaid and sponsored search results.'"
The investigation will also try to determine whether GOOGLE gave "preferential placement" in search results to it's own services.
