Kudos to CLEAR CHANNEL Country WSSL/GREENVILLE, SC morning personalities ELLIS & BRADLEY, who are celebrating a successful fourth annual “Great Possible Turkey Fry” to help feed the needy this THANKSGIVING.
According to OM STEVE GEOFFRIES, 315 turkeys were fried, which were able to feed 2,200 people.

The “Great Possible Turkey Fry” is a part of WSSL’s “Thanks-For-Giving Month.” In a three-week period, they raised over $4,000 for ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL with a concert that starred MONTGOMERY GENTRY, SARA EVANS and LEE BRICE.
They also held a one day radio-thon for the FISHER HOUSE, which helps families of wounded soldiers. In addition, WSSL collected over 2,300 pounds of food for SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK in a one-day food drive at a local grocery store. That event was wrapped up with a five-song acoustic set with WARNER BROS./NASHVILLE artist JAMES OTTO.
They are now wrapping up the year with a TOYS FOR TOTS event at local car dealership. After collecting toys for three weeks and doing a full day broadcast, they will run a parade of toys through town. There are usually 10-15 MARINE trucks filled with toys making their way through town.
GEOFFRIES said: “We take our community involvement very seriously and our listeners respond to our call to action. It's amazing!”
